We're about to embark on a journey together of discovery and teaching. At the end of this conversation (whenever that may be) some of you will find God, not because of anything I've said or shared but because He's been there waiting for you this entire time.
I'll be the very first to admit that Genesis is the most confusing book of the Bible. I still haven't gotten my brain wrapped around it all but that's not the point of this first video. This first video is all about Creation and the fact that even God rested on the seventh day.
We're going to read Genesis 1 together, where God creates everything in the first six days, and then we're going to end with the fact that even God rested on the seventh day. We'll save the confusing stuff for the next video, I'm not an expert here and I think that's enough of my face and voice for one video.
Let's take a look!
Why did he say that? Why that way? Why incite so much violence and hatred in his OWN people from the very start? Jesus was the very first disruptor of the status quo. He was the only genuine social justice warrior.
Let's start breaking it down from Genesis because that's where reading angered me and confused me at first. Don't worry, you'll be angry and confused for a very long time or you've already been angry and confused for a very long time. It's ok. God is with you wherever you are, right now.
God has called me to be a teacher and author. I've run from both of these for the better part of forty-two years. I'm done running and hiding from my true identity in Jesus Christ.
I'm putting all of this out there in boldness, for the first time in my life. Some of this is in writing, but I'm being challenged to post more videos than writing to encourage more viewers and engagers in a real, authentic, and visceral Conversation where Jesus is the focus.
Why? Because I am finally free. And I want to share that story.
